Community SIM identity checks and application status

Understand identity verification, manual review and the steps before connection.

Why identity is checked

One person can hold one funded connection. Identity and duplicate checks help Kettle allocate places fairly. A possible match needs review; it is not automatically proof of wrongdoing.

Identity passed is one step

After an approved identity result, you may still need to complete the application details and submit them. Look for the next instruction in your account.

  • Code saved: you have saved a route into the application.

  • Identity approved: the check passed; complete any remaining details.

  • Submitted or under review: staff are checking the application.

  • Approved: funding and connection preparation can progress.

  • Active: network service has been confirmed.

Manual help

If a name differs from your identity record or a possible duplicate appears, contact support for review. Do not create a new account to avoid the check.

Optional face matching

Optional biometric duplicate matching requires separate consent and has a manual alternative. Read the funded privacy information presented during the process.

Keep identity evidence in the secure verification journey. Never send it through ordinary chat or email.
